Eventually I want to build a SBR, I have a lower but no lpk, stock, or grip. I found a deal on a 10.5 barrel and upper, do I need to register now or can I do it once I have all the stuff to do the build. I don't want to miss this deal so I'm looking to buy it now and do the paperwork once I get it. Can someone please help?

If you already have a rifle stock on the lower, and don't currently own any pistol lowers, then no you can't have the 10" barrel until your paperwork clears.  File the paperwork, wait, and then get the short barrel.

Don't worry, deals come and go.  It's not like there won't ever be another 10" barrel on sale ever again.

Buy the upper an put a pistol receiver extension on the UNBUILT lower you have.  Instant pistol until your stamp comes back.  Once the stamp comes back put a different receiver extension and stock on it.

Incorrect. Don't start the constructive intent argument.

Buy the barrel now. To be safe do like the other guy said and put a pistol buffer tube on your lower.

Build a pistol, shoot it until the tax stamp comes, then put a stock on it.

Lol they are available on ee. Personally I didn't worry about it with my SBR.
