[ARCHIVED THREAD] - First Sbr. What caliber?

Looking to submit a Form 1 on a lower I have. Not sure what caliber I should go with. Going to be picking up a Spectre II, and submitting a couple of Form 1s for 308 suppressors.

I'm kind of leaning to doing a 22lr SBR first, and then maybe adding a 6.8 upper. At least initially, I'm not interested in a short 5.56 upper, and only modestly interested in a 300 BO. Thoughts?

Do a standard AR lower in 5.56 then build uppers for .22lr, 5.56, .300BLK, and whatever.

.22lr to start. 4-4.5" barrel with the spectre 2 and a 7" handguard. SS cmmg bolt. S&w mp15-22 mag adapter from boonie packer.

Really fun suppressed sbr.
