I am planning to build a SBR lower to host a 10.5" 556 upper w/ specwar 762 and eventually a dedicated specwar 556k as well as a ~8.5" 300 BO w/ specwar 762 and possibly an omega down the line to lighten it up.

With the added weight of the suppressors in mind what stocks would you all recommend? I am looking at Magpul and either a ACS-L, CTR, STR or UBR. I know that the CTR's have a proven track record of working but I was wondering if something a little heavier would balance out the rifle.

I called around my LGSs and none had any of the different stocks mounted on anything for me to get a good feel for and I haven't even handled anything other than the CTR.

Take a look at the Vltor Emod.

Something that will "balance" the rifle when suppressed is the UBR. Downsides, it's heavy and spendy.

Not sure if that's a recommendation for the UBR or not. I do like the style of the UBR and don't mind spending a little more if it's the best option but I'm not sure how the weight would affect overall use. The rifles main purpose for now would be for target practice and classes. One day I hope to go on some hog hunts with it as well.

My SBR 300 has a magpul STR. Thus far it seems really nice. Like the storage and the cheek weld.

Apologies for being vague. I like the UBR, and it's a great option for an sbr if "light"isn't a priority. Comfortable, durable, and balances the rifle well. If you're willing to shell out the dough. Ive shot a few sbrs with it on it, and I like it, but not enough to personally deviate from my CTR w/enhanced butt pad standard, that Ive been running. Just trying to give an objective point of view. Weird for arfcom huh..

MFT minimalist as well, i just picked up a Bravo B5 stock and I like it a lot nice cheek weld and thick padding.

Does the UBR come with it's own special buffer tube or do you just use a standard carbine buffer tube?

Mission First Tactical on my newest build - Seekins 10.5". It's extremely comfortable, lightweight and rock solid. I also like the new Magpul MOE SL, which is very sturdy. If you want ultracompact, check out the LWRCI micro - it requires a special buffer, but is very cool.

Check out the MOE SL. It may not balance, but it's light, strong, doesn't move on a BCM RE, and it's cheap.

UBR is too heavy in my opinion. I would suggest a B5/LMT SOPMOD or a Vltor IMOD.
