I see lots of posts about reduced mass carriers and using light buffers etc WITH gas regulation to get recoil down.
It seems to me a lighter carrier/buffer would have less dwell time, which leads back to more gas to push the lighter carrier faster so it can compress the spring. Do people not make/use reduced power buffer springs? Seems to me a weaker spring would automatically take less gas. then go low mass for less recoil. I have also seen the JP buffer thingy. I was trying to cheap out and get just a spring somewhere and then maybe dump the weight out of my buffer WITH adjustable gas block. Am I off base? |
