I found today my eform 1 was rejected due to no physical address. The problem is that I DO NOT truly have one as I live on a offshore island that is a state park with no physical address or utility service.
I left a telephone message explaining my problem. Of course I have to submit a new Form 1 but will not do so until the address issue is resolved. I am sure this is probably "a one of a kind problem" and Any suggestions? |

How about grid coordinates and a separate mailing address? I know they accept grids for destinations on 5320.20 forms. So long as they have a way of mailing you things AND they know where you / the gun will be located, they should be OK with it... right? What would he engrave on the firearm? The regs specifically require city and state of manufacture. |

Where does your mail go? How are you posting on the Internets ![]() All of my mail goes to the post office box where my revocable trust is addressed/based from.. I am not without services as you may think with the exception of mail and other land based utilities. The island has a generator system which feeds a battery bank through a inverter. Run on batteries for 14 hours in the PM. Have an air card through Verizon for internet, Direct TV and a cistern for water. |

What would he engrave on the firearm? The regs specifically require city and state of manufacture. He would engrave the city and state of the location where it was made, not manufacturered. A Form 1 is to make a firearm, not manufacture one. The city, state engraved by a maker is simply the location of where it was assembled. Doesn't have to be their home or work address, or match the city, state used on the Form 1 (which is simply a mailing address). Since the OP has a PO Box, that post office has a city, state that can be used. No street address required. Manufacturing is a whole different situation, with different forms, taxes and regulations. When manufacturing, you engrave the address of where the business is physically located. |
