So I'm about to send in my paperwork for my first SBR, but I have some questions about e-filing (I've done plenty of searching and I can't find anything helpful...). It's piqued my interest big-time since the turn-around seems to be significantly faster than snail mail. First, is this the correct website to e-file (https://www.atfonline.gov/EForms/faces/userProfile/login.jspx?_afrLoop=37790119587843&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=e7n0pjc4w_4)? It looks so... Awful. I can't believe its the actual website but if thats it, thats it. Second, how do I do it? I've worked with e-forms a thousand times before, but what about my fingerprints, or my passport photo? Or even my payment? Is there a comprehensive guide to the e-file method that I just haven't found yet? Lastly, would you guys recommend the e-file over the old fashioned way? I have everything I need to send it through snail-mail right now, but if e-filing can save me 8-9 months I'll do it in a heartbeat. Thanks fellas, it's good to be back on ARFCOM. |

I finally got in on chrome. Whew! That took a long time.
I am now registered. Crossing my fingers on the rest of this experience. ETA: AND after reading the directions and going back and rereading this post, I find out that I can't efile because I want to do it as an individual! |

ETA: AND after reading the directions and going back and rereading this post, I find out that I can't efile because I want to do it as an individual! So get a trust. They aren't that expensive and make it easier to file. Mine only cost me $150 to get setup. |

What all Forms can you E-file on??? I was told some you can, some you can't... I have a trust and I'd like to E-File a few Form 4s, for Cans... Your dealer will be able to eFile a Form 4 for you, assuming they're set up. If they're not, encourage them to do so or find a new dealer. |

I have been trying to pull up the eforms for several days. Has anybody had the issues below??? I keep getting the following message: http://i1022.photobucket.com/albums/af342/cruciantime/browser_zpsf66968d1.png I am using IE version 11. So this message makes no sense to me. Then when I click ok and move to the next form where I select register. Then the next form comes out in a way that it cant be completely filled out. Not all the fields display. The city and user id don't allow me to enter info. So, I cant move on from this point. http://i1022.photobucket.com/albums/af342/cruciantime/registration_zps6c74c025.png You need to go to your settings, then click on Compatibility View Settings and add their website. Then it should work fine for you regardless of what browser you are using. |

Holy shit, I just did this today and it ran like a regular, honest to God website. I was shocked. I had already entered all my info from a few days ago and just had to pay and submit. Strike now men! The iron is ho!! |

Every time I logged on at the stroke of 1600, it worked perfect just long enough to crank out my Form 1 and pay. By the time I got to the payment it was getting sluggish, and hung up a bit, but I just let it sit and it eventually submitted. Going in to the local shop for my first suppressor tomorrow, hopefully I'll have the same luck.

System Maintenance To address ongoing system issues, such as slowness or access limitations, daily restarts of the eForms servers will be conducted at the following times (all times are Eastern) until further notice: 4:00 am – 5:00 am 9:00 am – 10:00 am NOON – 1:00 pm 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm |

Yeah I mean, thats what I figured it was. I guess I'm just saying the absolute best time to do anything is immediately after a server restart, you just gotta work fast. Quoted:

Now I have a question. I bought some NFA items from FL, and they shipped it to my dealer in TX. The forms just went through, and now my dealer has them. Do I have to go to my dealer to file, or can I do it all myself online? So, the Form 3s were approved? And now it's time for the Form 4s? If that's the case, the dealer files the F4s, not you. You just need to pay him for the tax stamps and any transfer fees, plus an electronic copy of your trust/corp paperwork. |
