| Hey guys, question. I have a 10.5" reg sbr AR. I just finished building a 7.5" upper, now ive heard both that I have to or not send a letter stating I have another upper for my gun. What is the ruling and what form or letter do I need or have to do? thanks Mike |

Nothing required.
Some will tell you if you sell the original you need to notify the ATF in writing. The ATF actual says they "recommend" you notify them (as opposed to "require"). But, if you're just adding an upper to your inventory, absolutely nothing to tell them. |
