Ok im finally taking the plunge and doing an SBR, however i am stuck on one question on the form. For all the SBR veterans the question of "over all length" i am using a colapsable stock, do i need to measure it with the stock open or closed?, i'm assuming open...help please

This is correct, you measure with the stock fully extended.

thats what i was thinking but wanted to be sure, thanks guys for the help i appreciate it much!....by chance do you know if it has to be an exact measurement or can it be as close as you can figure?

well that depends on the barrel length...and you will get more help posting in the SBR section under the Armory tab.

You are only going to be close.  What barrel length are you looking to do?  I am sure a MOD will move this to the SBR section.

Thanks all for your help, im looking to go 10.5 with the vinyl acetate 2 position collapsable stock and the best i can measure is around 29-29.5 fully extended, anyone have anything similar with those type of numbers?  kinda hard to measue without the 10.5 upper

Stock fully extended.  Also does not include any muzzle devices that are not permanently affixed.
