For a SBR that is registered under a individual, can the first name be abbreviated for the engraving or does it have to be your full name? For example; John Doe, Millersville, MD as J Doe, Millersville, MD

Needs to be the exact same as it is on your forms. I abbreviated my trust name on my lower after reading that some people had done that. My curiosity got the best of me while waiting for my stamp to return and I called the ATF. They told me that it needed to match my trust name exactly exactly as it was on my forms, so now my lower is engraved twice.
Would they have ever known if I didn't get the lower re-engraved? most likely not. |

I had a Class 3 dealer help me with my form 1. She put "Greg Smith, town, state" in the line 11 box rather than Gregory Smith. Went through the system just fine and Greg Smith is what I had engraved. Line 11? See what happens when I try to go from memory!
