I will be manufacturing my first SBR in the next week or two. From what I have read I need to fill out FORM 1.
Here is what I know: 1) need a 2''x2'' photo 2) Police need to finger print me 3) Police Chief already agreed to sign papers. So I need to fill paperwork out and send with $200 money order. When the send everything back I need to engrave the lower with whatever they tell me to put on it correct? It would be really helpful if someone who has done this before could help me out. Gun store wasn't too helpful because I refused to buy their already registered SBR lower. |

You will need to engrave your name and city , state....ie
John Doe Anytown TX Also the engraving needs to be done by someone that does ATF engraving. The letters must be the correct size and depth. I know that ident engraving is swamped, IM me and I will get you info for a guy that I have used here in TX. |

It would be really helpful if someone who has done this before could help me out. Gun store wasn't too helpful because I refused to buy their already registered SBR lower. I have always had my lowers engraved before or right after I sent my paper work out. I like to have my lower in hand before my paperwork is done. If your lower gets lost after your Form 1 is approved so sad to bad. Also you might also include a copy of form 5330.20. Make copies of every thing for your own records |
