| Read a few of the posts about buffer weights with shorter rifles and have a few questions. Can someone tell me difference going from a carbine to a H2. I know the weight changes but how does it actually change the function/cycle. It sounds like I will need a H or H2 and will be running it mostly suppressed, does a can throw a wrench in the works versus the different weights? Thanks |

I have a 14.5 midlength that I bought an H3 buffer for. My plan was to remove tungsten weights from it and swap them with regular weights out of a standard buffer to make an H and H2 buffer so I could tune it to my rifle. The H3 worked so well that I just left it alone. All of this is to say that an H3 will probably work great and you probably won't need to swap to an H2 when you take the suppressor off. If it was too heavy you could always use your carbine buffer and turn one into an H and one into an H2. |
