I am in the process of building two 1911 pistols, one commander and one government. I have a fusion slide fitted to the commander frame and it's not bad for my first attempt. Anyway the fusion slide I have measured the bushing hole to be .701 using pin gauges at work. I am intending to use the EGW bushings so will order 701 for that slide. I also have a Caspian slide but I can't even fit a .699 in that one and there seems to be a slight hump around the hole just behind the bushing lug recess in the slide. Is this normal with the Caspian slides? |
