[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Checkering question

Hi all ! I'm trying my hand at checkering a front strap on a 1911. I have a 20 LPI file and I'm at the point where it seem it can't get any better. I was told to get a 90 degree file to bring the points up to their best.

Can someone recomend a file ? The selection is overwealming me.

A piece of drill rod the same diameter is a great practice target.

I will. Give me a few days to muddle through this.

Posting picks is always a pain in the ass on here. Every time I figure it out they change it on me.
