I'd like to install an extended charging handle latch on my AR-15. What size punch is needed?

I think the pin is ".081.
If you want to do alot of this stuff, just buy a set, otherwise use channel locks or better yet Knipex adj. pliars

Unless it's some exotic CH, the roll pin in standard CH is 1/16", so you need the matching 1/16" roll pin punch.

Like the other poster said, invest in a quality roll pin punch set.  Even a roll pin starter punch set.  1/8" punches (roll pin and starter) will save your life and have many, many uses.

Roll pin punches are one of those things that I equate to case gauges.  When I finally got them, it changed my life.  Buy a set and cry once, and use them the rest of your life.
