Looking for Ideas to start setting up my gunsmithing shop.
EDIT...I have done the google and youtube searches...just aren't really any out there
EDIT...

Ok, I know this is going to sound corny but.

This isn't about the most impressive workbench, work space or shop or
even the best tools / toys. It's about having pride in YOUR work space,
shop or what ever it is. It's about sharing your humble beginnings, your
progression, everyone has to start somewhere. Sharing your pictures
with everyone to help each other with ideas to make their work space or
shop work better for themselves and to inspire and encourage your fellow
hobbyist and gunsmith to continue to grow or improve on their space.

Well, I was going to, but I can't figure out to post them from my CPU.... I love this site, but it could be a lot more user friendly (especially for us non-computer-literate people!!). If you want to, IM me your e-mail address and I'll send them that way.

Pretty clean and organized work space.

Is that a Harbor Freight vise? When the vise jaws are rotated 90 degrees, how well does the shaft stay secured when having to hit object in vise with a good amount of force...does it slip and rotate on you?

I am considering getting this one from Brownells http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/general-gunsmith-tools/vises-accessories/bench-vises/multi-vise--prod361.aspx?psize=96 but not too sure I want to pick it up every time I need to put it on a 90 degree axis.

My vise that you see in that picture is a Master Force from Menards. I have had absolutely ZERO issues with it and love it. I use it everyday.

How on earth could you ever get anything done in that clean of a shop?
There is something seriously wrong with you

I don't understand this. This is the gunsmithing forum, there have been 465 views to this thread as of this date and only 1 replier (NSZ85) has been proud enough to post some pictures of his workshop and even added a video tour of his workshop.

C'mon you gunsmithers and parts changers lets get some pics in here...share your ideas and shop porn.

I'll tell what's wrong with that shop, a Lint roller  and a picture of Larry Potterfield on the walls

A bit messy right now, maybe one day I will get enough of a break to go through it and tidy up.
400 square feet, I sectioned off my garage leaving the front for the street rod. I should have gone for the extra 10 feet when I built it.
Under the particle board box is an 80 gallon compressor and next to it is the Syncrowave, 10HP RPC is hanging from the ceiling.

Workbench is home built out of 2x6 and 6x6 with an old solid core door and 3/4 particle board top.

Indeed! Most impressive.

I would be embarrassed to post a photo of my shop. Looks like someone set of a bomb constructed of gun parts and reloading supplies, along with various tools. Not pretty. Crap scattered everywhere. In my dreams, I will be home for 2 or three days uninterrupted with time to clean and organize.

Reality is sweep off a spot between a dozen unfinished projects for 20-30 minutes to work on a part, clean a rifle or prep some brass.  Two small childrens, a full time job and a princess...

Damn. I'm almost too embarrassed to post my "shop" which is really nothing more than a glorified work-bench until I get moved and established elsewhere. It is considerably more cluttered now...
