Can someone explain how this is affixed ?? I'm assuming it's silver soldered. Intentially missed that class and opted for Jedi Mig Weliding instead.

Don't think mig will help here... I have some silver solder in thin sheet. Kind of like aluminum foil only thicker.

Is that the fix and if so get metal propane torch hot or aceteylene brazing tip hot ??

Thanks for the help.

Also assuming repair area needs to be cleaned up really good using stainless wire wheel on dremel tool ??

i am just saying you can get a new barrel rather cheaply. silver soldering will work to re attach either way it's your choice, remington will prolly fix it for free

I don`t know, does This help any?

Did it break while shooting? Many rounds on it?

ETA. Looks like some good info in this discussion too.

Thanks Boru,

My google search yielded same, plus this. Potterfield to the rescue.

Had some gunsmith solder and flux stored away but never took time to learn how.

It's soo simple a cave man can do it. After video, fished out my flux and soldered back together. Was planning on threading barrel for permanent flash hider and refinishing with Cerakote.

Post yielded Odyssey Google search and a quick fix.

Thanks to all with input.
