Is it possible to re-chamber an AR barrel extension from .223 to Wylde?

It depends what the dimensions of the original chamber and throat are, and whose Wylde reamer you're using.

Yes you can but it would technecally easier to use a throating reamer to just cut the deeper throat without the risk of cutting the chamber deeper& ruining the rifle.
