Anyone know what thread pitch the set screws are that secure the adjustable butt pad?

I want to thread a QD sling mount into one of the holes.

TIA

While I don't know the thread pitch, I can tell you this.

the silver colored insert that the set screws thread into are pitifully held in place by a tiny thin layer of polymer from the buttpad.   My friend overtightened his set screw and it pulled out the insert from the stock.  I would not risk putting a QD mount on there as the weight of the gun loaded may eventually pull it out or crack the thin layer of polymer holding in that insert.

I thought about that after looking at it a little more.

I'm now thinking about drilling all the way through and running a bolt completely through the stock at that location.

That sounds doable and stronger.   Let me know how it turns out.  May want to get a "Chicago Screw" type setup so that it is flat on the opposite side of the QD mount.

Why not just mount it to the plastic portion that connects the top and bottom portion of the stock?
