Bought a glock large frame lower today. Gonna build it up and SBR it. I have an octane that I'll use with 3 lug config.

Ultimate goal is compact .45 PCC. Uses would be for fun and giggles, but also HD.

What bbl length do I want and why? 5.5 or 7.5? I looked up the ballistics charts. But is it really worth the extra 2 inches?, plus it will have a can 90% of the time.

Thanks for any input.

I have Glock Syslem in 9m.m. I have a 4.5" and the handling is perfect. And with the can it still seems lively.

I assumed that since the Thompson had a 10.5" barrel and the Grease Gun had an 8" barrel the people that made those decisions found some ballistic benefit in a longer barrel.

If your goal is a compact PCC, and you want it suppressed 90% of the time, I would go with the shorter barrel.

I don't think anyone currently makes a tri lug mount for 45 Auto, If you know of one I'd be grateful for a link.....
