Personally, if I had to pay for the SBR stamp i'd rather have something else than a Glock with a chassis on it.

I considered getting one of the pistol-only ones, and ended up getting a Sig ACP instead.  One of these days, I might get the tax stamp nonsense going and turn it into an SBR, since, even when doing that shoulder strap pulled tight thing, I get worse groups with it on, with an optic, than with the bare pistol.  I even bought a 40-9 conversion barrel for my pistol, which I purchased with both a .40 S&W and a .357 Sig barrel, so that I'd be able to shoot three different rounds through it.

The newest version has a 16 inch barrel so no federal paperwork is required.

After handling an early sample and talking to the designer at an NRA Annual Meeting several years ago (Charlotte, IIRC), I SBR'd one of my G21SFs for this very purpose and ordered the G21 model as soon as it was available.

Quite as a mouse with an Octane, can't wait to try it with my shorter GM-45 as soon as I pick it up.

Meh, I have several other SBRs as well... this one is tiny, quiet, and can be disassembled in seconds for pistol-only use if necessary.  I like it just fine.

I registered a Glock 17 and couldn't be happier. Quiet as can be with 147gr ammo and it's as reliable as a Glock!  All my Glock 33rd mags work perfectly, and I like the accuracy with an optic.

My LGS has one of the 16" models with a pistol installed. +$1000.00.
I couldn't read the whole tag, but it was more than 1K.
