Was doing some research on these 1884 Colt clones, and was wondering if any of you guys had any experience with them, especially in 357

Can't address the lighting model specifically, but having owned two SAA clones and an 1873 Lever gun in 44-40, I can attest to the very good quality of the Uberti line. The fit and finish of mine and all of the other Uberti guns I have dealt with have always been rock solid.
IIRC, the original Colt Lightining mechanism was considered to be delicate and not the best design. If Uberti copied it I would have to assume that modern metalurgy would offset that. If they modernized it then likely less of an issue.
I would suggest you go to the Cowboy Action Shooting Society website for metric ton more info from a lot more owners.
