I posted this in the AR 15-Rimfire and Pistol Caliber section as well but figured it would probably fit here also.
Ok one of these (at least) will happen this week. I haven't fired any of these so I need some help. This will be suppressed and unsuppressed if it matters. Mainly just a fun gun. 1) 9mm mag block. Can use existing SBR lowers. 2) Dedicated Colt lower 3) Dedicated Glock lower. Mags compatible with pistol. 4) CZ Scorpion Evo Thanks |

Getting some (most) 9mm AR platform guns to run without stoppages is a chore. Add to that the need for the buffer tube, and you give up the really short Sub Gun capability.
Getting a gun designed as a 9mm is often the best choice, and I went with the CZ Scorpion. The pistol version makes a great SBR, and if you don't want to add to your stamp collection, they have the carbines out now. Good aftermarket support, and more companies jumping on the platform all the time - cheap & available mags. Have fun, Bob S. |

I am building a Glock AR platform.
I think the tech has come a long way and the AR platform isn't as hard to make them run as they once were. If you buy quality parts it greatly reduces the risk of problems. The Scorpion is a great platform no doubt but the looks don't appeal to everybody. |
