Anybody have any experience with disassembly, or ideas to mod these?  I have one in .45, debating making a pistol upper or making a short range plinker w scope.  Specifically need info on removing muzzle brake, thanks

This doesn't help you much, but this is a paint hacked up version of what mine would look like if I put one together.

The muzzle brake is pressed on.  I would like to remove mine also.  I suppose this is one of the few rare cases where a Dremel is called for.

I want to install a PPS-43 top folding stock on mine.  One of those projects that is on the back burner right now.

Since you have one, ,aybe you can answer a few questions:

1. How thick is the tube? Really thin, not too thin??

2. Does it seem sturdy?

3. Is the tube 1 piece? Does it have a seem?

I wouldn't mind getting one, but I have never seen one in "person"....

I've got the earlier fixed stock version in 40/ Glock frame.

It's sturdy.

It shoots anything in 40 that I can get in the mag.

It's worth the money.

I did a write up on one a while back in the glock forum.

The "comp" is pressed on and will have to be cut off.  I am not sure how its is going to look.  I can get more pics this weekend of the unit if you want anything specific.  let me know.  If you can find my former write up, it had a pretty large amount of pics.

I searched the archives and found your post....very imformative.

Sounds like your biggest beef with the fun is the open windows on the bottom just behind the glock frame. After it is assembled, could they me covered with something? I assume the covers would have to be removed when you take it apart again....just a thought.

The other thing I am interested in is the new sliding wire stock. I like the extra compactness it would add,,,,but don't know how sturdy it is or how a check weld would be.

I still may order a set up like my picture in the post above.......I just need to find some extra cash again.

I do have a Glock already, so I wouldn't have to get a pistol either.

Regardless of check weld, I think the wire stock will work fine.  I am getting one of them to install when $ is more available.  The gun shoots very lightly and depending on the sights of course, I am pretty sure you would be fine.

I don't really remember my post, but I think I know what you are talking about with the open area.  I didn't get to put many rounds through this or in harsh conditions, so I am not sure of the reliability in a harsh environment; however, I was really impressed with the unit.
