Has anyone put the Kel-Tec factory Quad rail on their Sub2000?

They say its 'medium to hard' in difficulty. That could mean anything.

Me too! Out of stock, like everything Kel-Tec (that you want...)

Have it.... love it! It should come stock.  Install took about roughly ten minutes with no trouble. Call Keltec,  they may have one "in the back". Very nice customer service as well.

I bought one and it was very easy to install...my 10 year old daughter would have it on in 10 minutes or less....and that's saying something. I decided to sell it after about 10 minutes. Here's why:

1. The quality for $113 just wasn't there. Not horrible, but just not worth the $$$. Not near the quality of comparably priced AR rails.
2. After one range trip it worked loose...even with blue loctite applied to the screws
3. Although it works fine and retains the much appreciated folding capability...it lost its smooth non-snag deployment readiness....in other words, if you can imagine a situation where you might want to draw it from under a jacket or coat...it snags rather easily. It was smooth as silk with the factory forend.
4. It's a pistol caliber for Pete's sake! Was I really gonna mount optics on it? Not me. If you want to...go for it, but factory sights are fine for me....just use the loctite liberally. It just didn't seem that stable to me.

roy d....I don't trust an optic mounted to a platform that would twist and move with so little effort.

Makes too much sense...and my son loves the Sub2000 as is...why mess w/it?

I may consider the rail once I pick up a Sub2K, but only for a light mount. As far as snagging on things, put rail ladders on it...

Why not just get the small light mount from Kel-Tec that replaces the little piece on the stock grips up front then? Cheaper and easier if you just want a light.

Here is mine that I had with the small rail up front.

Too bad.  I was considering getting one of these.  However, I need a red dot.  I find it impossible shoot both eyes open except if I'm using ghost ring aperture sights that are mounted close to my eye.
