I have the opportunity to buy an 1894cs(i.e. 357mag). What is it worth?
It would cost me about $700. The gun is mint with minimal use. It has the long XS rail and peep sight with a Burris 2-7x scout scope. It is Remington made based on the MR serial #. The fitment of the wood stock to the receiver is poor with about a 1mm gap in most places. The action is still a bit notchy, presumably because it has been shot so little. Based on my google, the rail, XS sights, and scope are nearly $500 alone. (?!) Should I fo? |

| Yes makes a difference whether it is made by Marlin or Remington. Barrel stamped JM is John Marlin and REP is Remington. Both rifles can be great guns just the JM stamped Marlins bring a higher price. Especially the 357 magnum rifles. I have two JM stamped 1894C and a CS both great rifles. Good luck and let us know. |
