Going to take my gun guide 45/70 on a backpacking trip. It currently sports a 1" leather sling that isn't all that comfortable when used for extended periods. Looking for suggestions on something else....

I had to read it twice. You meant guide gun in 45/70. I use cobra slings on all my levers. I find them very comfortable and there are a lot of styles to choose from.
