Been looking for a older Marlin in 357...watched so many on GB start at 600.00 and climb to 900-1100 range.  Stopped at my LGS on the way to get groceries today and after browsing through the same ol' same ol'...my eyes spied this....






1894 C model...SN puts it about 1984...this thing looks like it's been sitting in a gun sock since it was bought.  There are ZERO signs of wear...anywhere.  I honestly don't think it's ever been shot.  And now the kicker....I walked out the door with it for 550.00

Very nice
I picked up a 1955 30-30 a few years ago.
I always wanted a 357 so I could shoot 38's out of it but they are hard to find.

Picked a NIB Cowboy II 357 in 1997,for $300 still never fired it.

Same situation hear, I walked in to a LGS and saw an identical marlin as the OP found except I only paid $400 otd this was only 6 months ago.........I don't mean to brag

In a related note, my brother just found a NIB, JM stamped, Stainless Steel 44 mag for sale at a farm & feed store.  $675.00 out the door.  I hope he remembers me in his will..
