| Ordered the Wild West trigger for my 70's Marlin 336 this morning. |

Since you're going to be in there, you should have picked up a Bear Proof extractor. It's a one piece and while I've never broken a stock unit, the replacement looks tough as nails. I got one of those also since I was ordering anyway. I have managed to break a stock extractor doing something stupid. |

I am disappointed in the new trigger. I was expecting more of a change. I wish I had bought a trigger pull weight measuring device before replacing the old one so I could compare the before and after pull weights. ETA I guess my expectations were too high. You have to understand that you only changed the trigger and not the hammer as well. The sear angle on the trigger is different, but you haven't touched the hammer. The sear catch on the hammer still retains it's angle and if it's incredibly deep, nothing is going to change dramatically. You had the ability to change the trigger, now pull the hammer out and make a couple passes with a file to debur that hammer sear and clean everything up. I just installed one tonight in a Marlin 1894 of mine and now the trigger breaks like a glass rod. Can't wait to shoot it. |

The WWG Bear Proof Ejector is an ejector, not an extractor. The extractor on a Marlin rifle is made of spring steel and is fitted around the outside of the bolt. |
