I have win 94 black shadow in 30-30 good gun, but  I hate the rebounding hammer. what can be done about this? thanks for help

no problems I guess I like the older style hammers . thank for the reply. can a older style hammer be put in place of the rebounding one?

I know that folks are doing that kind of conversion for Miroku-built 1886's, but I don't know if they are doing it for 94's. You might try shopping it around to various gunsmiths. I'll try doing a search.

tstefano and firefuzz1, may I present to you The One Sticky from the leverguns forum, which among other things, has detailed instructions on how to deal with pesky rebounding hammers and the icky safeties that go with them. Under the "How To" section, item 10 has 4 sections that will be of interest to one or the other or you and then items 16 - 19 should be checked out. Basically it comes down to this, on a model 94, use hammer and sear parts for a post '64 but pre safety model. On a Miroku 1886 with tang safety, get the hammer and sear parts for a Browning 1886. Good hunting.
