Question..... I got the lever locked in the open position on my Marlin 336. I was cycling it after a recent trip to the range and it just locked open....I can not get it to close at all. Anyone have any ideas/tips for me? Any help is appreciated as I'm broke as heck and can't afford to take it to a gun smith.

You might want to check the loading gate and see if it is stuck on the shell elevator.....I had that happen to me once. I was able to gently pop the gate back into position with a screwdriver.
