Looking for ideas to secure a sliding glass door.

Pin or bolt, drill some holes in the frame to stop horizontal and vertical movement insert bolts or pins.

If you put a slide lock that stops the movement in the track i.e." Broom stick type"most sliding doors can be defeated by popping it off the track and just pushing it in.
Pretty easy to defeat the normal latch and broom stick with two screw drivers

Always just put a 2x4 of the proper length on the track.  Of course if they want in, it is just glass.

I use wood screws screwed into the top track where the door just clears them.  Keeps you from being able to lift the door.

Thanks for the ideas everyone. Right now I use a piece of wood and the factory lock.
