No.

You can get a dynamic DNS updater, and a free dynamic DNS account.  It gives you a domain name, and will update that IP address whenever it changes.

Don't pay the $20/month

A security guy told me that I need a static IP address.  It is currently dynamic.  This costs an extra $20/mo from my ISP.  Is this the case with the systems that are being discussed here?

Their website lists what other brands their cameras are compatible with.

I don't have siding. I just cut a 2x4 and screwed it to the end of the trusses. Drilled a hole in the metal and 2x4 and mounted. Each camera took about 15-20min.

Did you inserted a 2x4 inside to hold the camera or will the metal truss hold it?

So I finally pulled the trigger. My 8 camera system will arrive tomorrow and I’ll install it this weekend. At this point I have plans for 6 of the cameras for exterior coverage. I’m on the fence about interior cameras.

Reolink doesn’t make a mini-dome camera. What are folks using for a front door cam to get good facial capture? Who makes a good IP mini-some that is compatible?
