I used to dread updating my server and workstations back when they first came out, as it was always such a mess configuring it all by hand....... but now it's pretty much been streamlined.
I typically update my camera's firmware yearly, and update the NVR/workstation stuff when required by new camera software requirements. The past few years I've seen leaps and bounds in software and integration. Many of the updates directly benefit image quality and functionality. I just installed my first wireless cam with 2 way audio, integrated into my NVR, workstations, and mobile, to use as a baby monitor. Anyway, point is, stay on those upgrades! you may be missing out on some really great features that increase the overall quality of your system. |
