| I'm looking at buying a new house and in turn looking for a camera set up. Anyone have any experience with these? What are the advantages over IP? |
| I install HD-TVI systems ( same technology as the CVI ) for my customers. The HD analog systems are good for folks who want to upgrade their existing systems to achieve 1080P quality without having to replace their existing cable. The systems also offer 1080P quality recording at a reduced price compared to IP. But if you want high quality recording and dont have a system in place i would recommend IP. |

What am I gaining with IP? Analog is a legacy technology, it is what the industry started with. The HD analog is a upgrade for existing systems, The advancements with IP is only going to steer the industry further away from analog. With IP you will have the infratructure in place for future upgrades and advancements. |
