A family friend of ours is in a tough spot and wants to sell a safe that her ex-husband left in the garage.  She was told by her ex that it was a bank safe.  It has been sprayed over, and carpeted and racked on the inside, but that is not how it allegedly came.  It has no markings that I can find, and I don't have any real info on it.  It is 24" deep X 54" wide X 62" tall.






Any help would be appreciated.

wow, looks like a Sturdy but I'm fairly certain it's not.  I really don't have any idea though.

Thanks.  Sturdy crossed my mind just because it is so stark looking, but I've never seen a Sturdy with those interior door shelves or 3 hinges.

Looks very much like a Sturdy 6028-6.

It really does, doesn't it?  Except for the dimensions and the inside of the door, you could convince me they are the same safe.  I wonder if it is just an old or custom sized Sturdy.

My guess would be an older generation of Sturdy.  

In my experience they're very quick to respond to emails.  Send them the photos and I'll bet you'll have a reply within a couple days.

What's the inside of the door on the hinge side look like? Two welded pins in the middle with the framework of the door comprising the top and bottom bolts?

+ 1 might be a custom or prototype but it looks like a Sturdy.
