Looking for something to help my sister out.  She lives near abbotstown as she works at Willow Grove AFB, and wants a little more security while she is not home.

Up to $1,000.   Wired is fine.  6-8 cameras. motion detection that alerts a iphone is nice.

came up with these 2 with a quick search.

leaning towards this one so far: link

or even possibly: link

Would the first be sufficient?  7 frames per second recorded doesnt seem too bad.

Thank you for any advice.

I've bought a couple of systems from http://www.apexcctv.com/ and have had really good experiences. They sell plug and play systems to custom built. Shoot them an email or give them a call and tell them what you are looking for. I'm sure they can help you out. I have no affiliation with them other than being a satisfied customer.

Your average tv program is 30 FPS,  7 FPS will miss a lot.  As far as the  Lorex systems go, I have installed a metric shit ton of their boxed systems.  Some of their cameras had problems with the IR cut filter, but the DVR's were a solid entry level product.
