I just bought my first safe (nothing spectacular but a whole lot better than under the bed). I'm wondering if a golden rod is sufficient for moisture control. Also, what do you use for lighting in the safe?

If you have power in the safe then your options for lighting are greater.
If you don't, go for a battery operated LED light bar of some sort.
I have a AAA remote controlled 6 lamp bar in mine, doesn't light up bright as day but I can see what's in there.
