So I've scanned almost every thread on firearm safe suggestions in the 6 pages this website allows me to see. I'm trying to gauge (no pun intended) a decent safe in the 45-50 gun size with fire protection of at least 75-90 minutes in the $2500-$2800 range. I saw that Summits and Sturdys were recommended but wanted to see if there were any others. I was intent on buying the Patriot Safe 45 until reading the resident experts advice against them. Right now I'm looking hard at the Champion Triumph 50 or the Summit Rainier SR 50. Anyone know an online dealer that may have free shipping and even discounts (military)? Anyone have any indeas?

I've had the Champion Triumph T60 for about 5 years now, and I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be disappointed if you went that route. The thing is built like a tank, boltworks are still buttery smooth, and the interior layout is great (at least for my purposes).  The lifetime warranty that covers repair/replacement AND shipping both ways is a nice touch too.

I believe that they only sell through a network of dealers, so you might not have much luck finding a deal online. My nearest dealer threw in delivery and installation when I paid cash for mine, never harms to ask.

The Bighorn line has often been recommended here, and their 7144 model is listed as 51 gun and has 70 minute fire protection, and are well under your budget.

Many online dealers sell them, or look for local dealers on their website.  Bulldog Tuff Safes is having/just had a sale on the 7144 for $1599, which is a good price, if the sale is still on.

Love my Champion CH-25...they don't make it any more, but the equivalent would be the Trophy Series.  Getting ready to add a Crown 50 in early June.  I've had my Challenger-25 since 2000, and it's great.  I don't think you'll be disappointed.
