| Any one know if they are any good. They are coming out with a new one that also monitors fire. Did a search and didn't come up with anything. |

I bought the system about six months ago, right around Christmas.
Only issue I've had is that the base station had to be moved after about 3mo due to not being able to establish a cell connection. I don't know why it suddenly stopped working, but since then no problems. It's not the perfect system, has it's flaws but for $15/mo monitored I've been happy. I have the upgrade on order, mostly becuase it allows mutliple keypads which I want for other doors in the house. Installation was very easy. |

I've had mine for almost a year now. No complaints, I've inadvertently set it off a couple of times during middle of the night fridge raids, and the monitoring service called within 15-20 seconds both times. Installation is perfectly simple. I like the keychain remotes for easy disabling when entering the house with my hands full (range is sufficient to shut the system off from the driveway). I'm looking forward to upgrading to the Version 2 system for the smoke and flood monitoring.
Other things I like: - Duress pin which will deactivate the alarm, but cause the monitoring company to call the police without communicating with the homeowner. - Panic buttons which also result in an instant call to the police if used. - "Home" mode which deactivates the motion sensors but leaves the entry sensors on. |
