| Anyone have any suggestions for a small 5-8 gun safe that would be used essentially as temporary storage while in an APT. Thanks |
| These people make a safe that is high quality, but modular so you can pack it in and out without professional help or six friends. Ideal for an apartment and temporary use in one location. Might be too big for your purposes, but check it out: Zanotti Armor |

For an apartment just get the Stack-On gun cabinet from Sportsman Guide. I reinforced mine with extra padlocks, put the crack where they could get a prybar in towards the wall, and since I live on the bottom floor I bolted it into the foundation and the wall. Not ideal, but it works in a place where I cannot fit a large gun safe. Plus it is cheap |

It is a breakdown safe with a ceramic fire liner, they have expansion kits, and it is distributed through the Summit Safe Group. |

Most of the smaller safes will be imported and of similar quality. The only impotant feature that I feel any safe should have is a UL rated lock. So long as the lock is UL rated, then choose whichever safe has the color/interior/features best suit you. Local availability is also a plus.
