How are you guys supporting your rifles with scopes? If I lean my rifle forward enough for the scope to clear, it wants to fall forward and in pretty much any position isn't generally stable.

Do you strap them in somehow? What kind of adjustments can I make?

I have a collector rack, so there is room behind the gun for scopes. An ez-access rack will make it more difficult to put a scoped gun in without the scope touching the wall or the partition.

You might be able to use pool stick holders or fishing pole holders.

I cannot recall who makes them but there is some kind of rod you stick down the barrel and then adjust the rod to press into the bottom of the shelf above it. Using these lets you place the long gun anywhere you want in the open space. I imagine someone will come along shortly who knows what these things are called.

I remember seeing something like that before also, but don't know what they are called. They might do the job, but I'd be concerned about damaging the barrel crown.

They're called Rifle Rods... just google them.  They are made from plastic... which is softer than steel so won't cause any damage to the crown.

Store more guns. They work great.

Interesting. I might have to give this a shot.
