I am in the process of installing a hidden small safe in my house. This will either be one "in the wall" or perhaps located in the staircase.
I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of hidden safes/vaults/strong boxes. There was a thread sometime back that showed some pictures but I cannot locate it. Thanks. |

I'm in the process of doing the same but the size of a small walk in closet.
It sounds like you're looking at something like...THIS.-or-THIS. There is a company that makes custom fit modular safe kits to convert an existing room to a safe room. I can't seem to find what I did with that link. I have found lots of sites with all kinds of great ideas if you want to go a bit bigger. Hide a door... Thats exactly what I have been looking for. Basically I want something small, in plain sight, but big enough to hold a pistol and some cash. Currently a hidden room is out of the question but a small safe would work. |

Yup. An in the wall between the studs safe can reside right behind a picture or a mirror or your bedroom door. I just wish there was one with a biometric opener vs bush buttons or combinations. I'm sure that when someone's trying to beat down the door or something, I'd be all thumbs!
I and the wife each have our own bio secure pistol safes on our respective sides of the bed. Works for now. |
