Im giving thought to making my master bedroom closet into a makeshift panic room. I dont have any knowledge on what im going to need to be doing other than making it as close to impervious as possible. Anyone have any thoughts or sugestions on how to acheive this? If you have one lets see some specs and pics. Im sure this would have been much easier to do if i had thought of it during the construction stage 2 years ago. Thanks

some ideas are here

and yes, we have one.  it has food, water, an alternate means of exit from the house, and plenty of things that go boom.

3 are brick, one is not.  a weakness, for sure, but it's a small wall.

3 of my walls are drywall and the exterior is wood with vinyl siding. I thinking for it to be an effective safe room i will have to fortify it somehow.

I have an area under the stairs, all concrete, other than the stairs above, and a short wall that's behind the reloading bench.  I've half thought about fortifying it and keeping the Asian Love Slave back there.

Uh...I mean preps and guns!  Preps and Guns....no Asian Love Slaves back there....or dead hookers.  None of that here, no sir!
