For a newbie with a safe. What level should i be looking for 30%, 50%, 70% ? I just installed a 12" Golden Rod in it and looking to see if i need something else.

my golden rod keeps my safe dry as a mouse fartin crackers.
unless it's a vault room....I say it's enough.
you can get the little disc that change color at 10/20/30/40% humity....4 quad grid......but the one I have has stayed white.
to dry can damage wood stocks, I am sure someone knows the optimum level but something like 30-40% should be great.

In winter you won't need much. In summer, you'll have to see what happens with just a rod. Buy a hygrometer and put it in there. You'll know by August.
