Im currently living in a trailer my parents bought for me while Im enrolled in college. I have most of my guns down here with me so that I can go out shooting. Im looking to get a safe for my trailer but Im very limited in what I can get. Im trying to stay away from the Stack on filing cabinets and want an actual safe. The problems Im having is the dimensions and weight. I can handle a small safe where I can put the most valuable guns in, so a 8-10 gun safe would be fine. I looked at one at Lowes and it seemed alright, nothing to write home about, but I think it might fit the bill. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Better bolt it down or they will take the whole safe. How long would it take to beat/pry it open? Buy the Buy once Cry once size.

A mobile home subfloor is not going to support a real safe.  I would probably buy the smaller Lowes Liberty Centurion or smaller Cannon at Tractor Supply.  These two RSC's will stop smash and grab types, just be sure to bolt it to your subfloor.

Yeah the living in a trailer part is the problem. I really wish I could get a real safe and put in here but to support the weight I would have to block and support my floor which would be more trouble than its worth. That's why I was thinking more along those smaller safes and running lag bolts through the floor. If they want it bad enough they are going to get it but I'm thinking a decent safe, the one at lowes weighs 300 pounds lag bolted would be a deterrent.
