By chance, are there any other folks with a stack-on cabinet that have put padding inside to protect your firearms from dings ? I'm curious how that's worked out for folks.
Any advice would be great! |

I put those plastic strips that press onto car doors around the inside edge of the cabinet. I'm not sure I know what you mean? I catch myself banging my optics on the cabinet and just generally banging my firearms around a bit... I thought about buying some el-cheapo foam and using some sort of glue to make it stick? Maybe some 3M adhesive? |

buy some automotive interior fabric, speaker covering material and spray glue it to the walls. I did this for a friend. I cut the box it came in up to make panels, covered them in velour and poped them in. That's a very interesting idea. The automotive carpet is super cheap too. Sounds like a good project. I still have the cardboard box sitting in my bedroom because I did not want my neighbors to see it and immediately think they should come take whatever I think is so important. |

Thugs in the hood huh Yeah, it's definitely not the nicest place I've ever lived. I do think someone would steal my laptop(s) before they tried to break into my cabinet. It's a trade off kinda thing. I'm hoping to be out of this area in 6 months depending on the economy. I just want to protect my firearms the best I can. They are not safe queens but I don't see why I shouldn't at least try and protect them from my clumsiness :) |
