I'm in the market for a couple of padlocks which are bolt cutter proof. I've found some stuff online but figured I'd ask the forum for any pros/cons for what is on the market.

Post away.

ETA: How are Robson padlocks? I noticed they only seem to appear on Aussie auction sites (Ebay, etc.). I've never seen one in the USA.

Try googling "hidden shackle padlocks" they come in all shapes & sizes. Depends on what your trying to lock.

Even if the lock is hardened is what you are locking 'cutter' proof? IE a chain, fence, the retention device?

Nobody serious uses bolt cutters anymore.

Battery-powered angle grinders are the most portable replacement.

That being said, the thicker the shackle the better. It'll just take that much longer to get through.

Depending on what you're trying to lock, try to build a steel enclosure around the entire lock. Anything that makes it more complicated and restricts access to the lock will take longer. So for a typical gate/padlock, build a 5-sided 1/4" steel little welded box around the padlock and clasp so that just the bottom of the padlock is visible from the bottom. Those are a whore to cut.
