Is the model "sig MPX" or just "MPX" ?

For anyone that has recently gotten an approval, what has yours said? I remember months ago folks were getting approvals with both then apparently that changed.

Thank you

My form says "MPX" in the model field but I still don't have approval so maybe that's the hold up, idk.

As of today I'm sitting at 219 f'n days.

I agree, MPX.

But in true Gov't fashion, Your Mileage May Vary.

I have a Form 1 approved on 7/22/16 for my "MPX"
and a    Form 1 approved on 9/6/16   for my "SIG MCX"

Back in the old days of E-forms, it was select from a drop down list, and those were options.

I heard tell of "MPX" getting disapproved, but I am 100% sure it worked for me.   You need an answer from someone approved lately, as ATF changed their minds a lot.

(I'll post an image if photobucket ever stops sucking):

It is 100% "SIG MPX"

That is what is stamped on the receiver and that is what is listed on Sig's website.  If you got a stamp approved with "MPX" it is an anomaly.  I wouldn't go so far as to call it luck because it could create potential headaches for you down the road.

I had Rainier Arms make my MPX into an SBR via Form 2 and they transferred the SBR back to me on a paper Form 4.  On the approved(9-16-2015) paper Form 4, box, d, Model is "MPX"

So we have evidence of MPX and SIG MPX (a few posts above) both being approved....  so,

take your best shot!

Form 1 approved as MPX on 11/17/16; moreover, Ted Cutler reissued it 5 days later and removed the draft watermark.  I would probably put SIG MPX though.

"SIG MPX" is correct, as it's engraved on the receiver.

The gun is a Sig Sauer Sig MPX according to the ATF.  They can, and have, rejected 'MPX' for the model.

If you want to be safe, SIG MPX in the model spot.  "MPX" is technically incorrect and rolling the dice... may go through or may get rejected.

I've got a Form 4 for a "Capitol Armory" "MPX"  =)  No mention of Sig on the form at all.

Just got mine back the other day and used SIG MPX.  Before I submitted it I had seen multiple stories about guys using MPX getting them kicked back.   Use SIG MPX

Form 3's from Sig Sauer list it as "SIG MPX" so that's what we are using in customers form 4's.

I was shown one (Form 3) for a SIG factory SBR which was labelled "MPX" so the confusion is rampant...
