I am designing a custom 556xi handguard and wanted to get some feedback before I spent the $$$ on having it made. Will slide on and pin the same way as the factory handguard. What do you guys think?

The gas knob can not be accessed with the handguard on but how often do you actually need to adjust it? I never have. Either way the handguard can be removed in seconds should you need to make an adjustment.
Not looking to mass produce or anything so not worried about xi production. More of a hobby. |

JMHO My solution would be to simply attach a knob extension to the hole conveniently located in the factory knob that will extend out to the front of the new rail and function just like factory. The little switch/button is still accessible.
