I'm waiting on my stamp for an 8" MPX Gen 2
I'm trying to decide between the Aimpoint T2 or the Trijicon MRO. I'd like to get everything I need early so I can configure it when it gets out of jail.... HA I'll likely go with a LaRue mount but I'd like recommendations on the correct height...? HK height (low), Absolute co-witness (med) or Lower 3rd (high) On my ARs I prefer the absolute co-wit and I leave my BUIS down. Any help or pictures are appreciated...! |

I like low mount on the MPX. I run a MRO with a low mount personally. In the shop we have our select fire with a T2 on a lower 1/3rd.
I can shoot it, but I have to pick my head up some. Naturally I like a really firm cheek weld with my head down a bit. (Not too far down so as the top rim of glasses get in the way, but a bit low.) The low mount is perfect for me, however I suspect a whole lot of guys are going to want an absolute mount. With the lower 1/3rd, when I shoulder the rifle I see the dot fly through the glass and disappear again. Naturally, I want it to where I bring the rifle up and immediately everything is on target and I don't have to adjust my head or do any hunting for the dot. |

I went with this one, "Full Co-Witness", free shipping and no tax:
https://www.botach.com/trijicon-mro-w-american-defense-quick-release-mount/ I know, I know.... some of you all are haters on Botach... I ordered 5/1 and received on 5/5. I have only had great experiences with them. I have not sighted it in yet and it feels natural. I didn't want the sight to sit high on the MPX and make the gun look larger than it really is. I normally use lower 1/3 on my Aimpoints. I was going to go with LaRue but they did not have the Full Co-Witness mount. I hope this helps! D |
